College Beer Pong Championship coming in August

Founders of College Beer Pong Championship The Nevada Sagebrush recently interviewed the founders of the College Beer Pong Championship tournament. The interview itself was pretty cool and there’s an audio version - I encourage you to check it out. But the real news here is the tournament itself.

The College Beer Pong Championship will run from August 11 to August 13, 2009 and will take place in Reno, Nevada at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino.

The facts:

- Web site: www.thecbpc.com
- Teams can sign up for $80 on the Web site until July 13.
- The tournament will run from Aug. 11 to Aug. 13.
- On the second day of the tournament, teams will be eliminated until 200 remain.
- Organizers will hold a free concert Aug. 12 by Keyser Soze.
- There will also be a concert by The Expendables Aug. 13 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in the Reno Ballroom. The first 250 teams to sign up for the tournament get free tickets. For everyone else, tickets to the 21-and-older concert are $18.
